HOW TO MAKE A CRANKY TOY THEATRE - AVAILABLE FOR BOOKINGS
3D HAND CRANKED TOY THEATRE / CRANKY and story scroll.
Crankies are traditionally used in folk singing and storytelling, rather than turning a page to reveal the images, they appear across the “screen” of the box by turning a handle (or crank).
there are two existing options for this workshop
a) participants re-use a cardboard box and are guided through the measuring and cutting steps to make their own cranky toy theatre. this option is aimed at 14+, though ages 8+ are welcome so long as they're accompanied by an adult who can help out with the measuring and cutting.
b) participants are guided through imaginative story making & decorating of the scroll. they ARE PROVIDED WITH A PRE-CUT CARDBOARD TEMPLATE for their cranky toy theatre & guided through the assembly process.
this option is aimed at 6+
